Star Trek
I won’t write too much about this movie, both because I don’t have much time to do so and because I don’t want to spoil any of the moments that thrilled me. I just want to say that this movie was fantastic! It’s been a long time since I was able to say that about any movie, but this one really delivered. You don’t need to be a fan of the franchise to enjoy it, though if you are a fan, you’ll love it. You should all go see the movie this weekend (even if theatres are packed, because trust me, the crowd’s reactions will enhance your experience). Awesome actors, awesome effects, some very funny lines. Long live Star Trek!

I just wanted to say that the Engineer and I actually saw the movie a second time this weekend, and enjoyed it just as much as the first. We had fun counting how many times Kirk is hanging from a ledge (6) or being choked (3).
You might be interested in reading the prequel comic (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1600104207?ie=UTF8&tag=thescifannetw-20&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=1600104207); it does make the story a bit easier to understand - but it's by no means necessary.
